Ray, Clem, et al.: I passed by the Collector's Shop today at noon=20 on my way to a meeting, and I saw Jim Skalbe in the shop. I don't=20 know Jim all that well, but I'm glad to see him back in action!=20=20

I have been catching=20 up and will share a few images. The first is a fairly rare=20 Virginian and newly discovered since Newman's papers on Virginians.=20=20 It is called a 16-U and it is a great example. The second is for=20 John L. and is a 1751 Defiant head. The obverse andf reverse is=20 know. I have not checked to see if the pairing is known. I am=20 pretty sure John is working away on a paper on these since these are=20 one of his favorite families. The 75104 is only of interest since is=20 is a full metal turn. This is fairly unusual in the non regals in=20 my experience and the price was right. Thje f5301 is a faerthing=20 with a George III obverse but the unusual date of 1753 - I have not=20 seen any other farthings with this date though I am sure David P.=20 probably has three or four. In any case enjoy.
