    Hi All,
I decided to take a morning off work and spend it numismatically. Steve Frank inspired me to attribute my Wood's Hibernias by posting his for attribution earlier this week. I have six Hibernias - 3 Farthings and 3 Halfpennies. I feel fairly confident that I've got the correct attributions, but I will get Syd to verify them sometime. Out of the six coins, I found I have a Halfpenny that is an R-7 and one that is a LDS that is considerably more attractive than the one pictured in the book. And the surprising thing is that I accomplished all six attributions within one pot of coffee! For anyone keeping records, here is what I found:

    Farthings:
    1723 M3.3-Bc.3 R-1
    1723 M3.15-Bc.9 R-5
    1723 M3.2-Bb.1 R-3

    Halfpennies:
    1723 M4.14-Fb.5 R-7
1723 M4.47-Gb.7 R-4 LDS much nicer than the plate coin
    1723 M4.62-Gc.7 R-3 Ford Jan 2005 lot 76

So Steve Frank is not the only one with an R-7 Wood's Hibernia! <BG> Has anyone else discovered any rare Hibernias in their collections after attributing them?
    Ray
