The best and easiest thing to do with any suspicious email is to simply forward it to either spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com they respond to these emails very quickly.

http://www.purdue.edu/securePurdue/news/detail.cfm?NewsID=216
I'm very cautious of emails and when I suspect something may be a bit fishy, check it out the best I can.
I recently received the email below, and since I did recently have a problem with paypal, almost bit. Just as I was getting ready to click on the link, a red light went off and I decided to check my paypal account and saw no open cases. I went back to this email and copied a bit of the text and did a google search on it and sure enough it is a new phishing scam. You can get Trojans or worse, give up information making your bank account password information available to whoever is running the phishing scam. I know we who buy and sell on eBay use paypal a lot and have to have it to sell, so I'm sending this email to let everyone know to never click on a link in any email no matter how real it looks, and no matter how much it reflects a recent circumstance. As I said, I just had a problem with paypal, and thought this may be a response to recent correspondence. The poor son of a bitches wouldn't have gotten much from me, but I know that others here may keep more in there account then what they plan to pay for their next coin.
I would also, as a protection measure, recommend doing what I did a while back. Open a checking account to be used solely for your eBay and other related coin transactions, and keep a minimum amount in that account. If anyone does bypass the paypal/eBay security, you lose a minimum amount, and all of your more important banking information is safe.
