I was reading my issue of the NUMISMATIST this afternoon and it seems a few
folks are having a few laughs at C4's expense.
On page 17 there is a letter to the editor from life member Richard A. Long
pointing out the plaque recently placed at the site of the "first mint" in
North America (in Boston) states it was established during 1652 but he
reminds us that Mexico began striking metallic currency in 1536, over one
hundred years earlier. And yes, Mexico is in North America.
