Good Morning All,
I'm off to church in a few minutes and I thought I'd share a question I'm pondering at the moment. Quite often I see the spelling of Abel Buell's last name as Buell. On the Communion Cup auctioned by Stack's in the Americana Sale 2009 (lot 6162), the silversmith mark is "BUEL" I'd think the guy would know how to spell his own name, even if he didn't know how to spell "Congregational". Is there any reference where Buell spelled his name with two L's?
Ray
