Hi Dan,
I'm sending this to you privately. I agree with you 100%.....but that's the=
wrong place to argue politics.=A0You know as well as I do, that seemingly =
otherwise intelligent people cannot follow logic. They talk about debt. Whe=
n Reagan ran for office, he asked the people how many zero's there were in =
a trillion.....after he was elected, we soon found out. Most people lived a=
comfortable life not realizing it was a credit card they were living on th=
at someday would have to be repaid. Right wingers said debt-shmet....it's t=
he American way to be in debt. Bill Clinton and his administration were abl=
e to balance the books and change us from the number one debtor nation to w=
hat we can now call an economically sound=A0country, only to be held liable=
for the subsequent terrorism that hit the country. I hate what Bill Clinto=
n did as president with the women he cheated with. In any other country it =
would probably not be a problem, but he should have known better. He
hurt the democratic party, and=A0gave fodder=A0to the right wing zealots t=
o blame the democratic party for everything that has gone wrong in the coun=
try from teenage pregnancy to inner city drug use and unrest in the middle =
east. There are times, as you know, where a strong central government is ne=
eded. We need the government overseeing big business, or we will have more =
of the failure we had in the past. Yes, we also need government telling us =
to wear helmets when we ride motorcycles, because when the idiots who don't=
get their brains scrambled on a 10 mph wreck they will only tax the system=
more through lawsuits that=A0could have been prevented had they had any co=
mmon sense. I have friends so far to the right it scares me. They base thei=
r entire political outlook on one personal cause, be it gun control or a wo=
man's right to choose. I don't think they are unintelligent, but I do think=
they listen to Rush Limbaugh and Bill whatever...the Irish guy on FOX
way too much, and have become brain washed. The two C4 guys I'm personally=
closest with have totally opposite views from me politically, and I respec=
t it. We can actually talk a little politics and laugh about it with each o=
ther...I occasionally agreeing with them, and vice-versa. There are "Hot To=
pics" I know to avoid with them, and I think them with me. I know you know =
your coins, and if I ever have any book or Higley questions, I know where t=
o go. Feel free to send me any private emails, but let's try and keep the p=
olitical stuff off the colonials group for the good of the hobby, and the f=
un of C4. Thanks buddy!
