Thanks for posting this Jack!! It did make me feel as if I was there, but b=
eing a person with a limited vocabulary, I figured there may be others who =
may benefit from reading this short list of definitions before reading the =
article. I did know what an obelisk and calumet were, but the others I goog=
led to find the definitions as they pertained to this article. I guess Habl=
    iments is related to haberdashery...

Habliments - Clothes of the day
    =C2=A0
Wiskinkie - An important job of the Tammany organization to go around colle=
    cting money for the organization
    =C2=A0
Sagamore - In this case, a high official of the Tammany society
    =C2=A0
Obelisk - A tall, four-sided shaft of stone, usually tapered and monolithic=
, that rises to a pointed pyramidal top
    =C2=A0
Calumet - A long-stemmed sacred or ceremonial tobacco pipe used by certain =
    Native American peoples
    =C2=A0
Cincinati (Society of) - Hereditary, military, and patriotic organization f=
ormed in 1783 by officers who had served in the American Revolution. The gr=
oup's aims were to promote union, maintain war-forged friendships, and help=
members in need. Membership was offered to all officers and their eldest m=
ale descendants. George Washington was its first president. The group took =
its name from the Roman citizen-soldier Cincinnatus. The city of Cincinnati=
was named in its honour in 1790.
    =C2=A0
The Anacreontic Society was a popular gentlemen's club of amateur musicians=
in London founded in the mid-1700s=20
