    The countermarks seem a little large to be those=C2=A0of=C2=A0pewterers or =
    silversmiths. They would more likely resemble the cmks on this coin.

    Paul, Here is the similar C/S to the one your friend has. I have not fullt
    researched this one either. Just to let you know, all of the guilds in
    England, had to approve marks to be used by pewterers, silversmith' s etc
    before they could be used by the makers. It was a form of control over the
    industries. David
