1 last photo, a compare that I showed to a couple of friends, and it was po=
inted out that the only difference seemed to be the denticles, which I have=
since blown up, and counted the tips and distance covered to pretty much a=
ssure that this is due strictly to a combo of wear and strike with emphasis=
on wear. I am using the Stacks photo which is sub-par, and I don't blame t=
hem because top photo's on line would not sell catalogs, a great expense an=
d something I've learned from my english hammered group is not only a huge =
expense, but part of business...I know Stacks was kind enough to send me a =
couple catalogs, but my buying doesn't come close to the cost of putting th=
em together, and I appreciate what they did.=20
    =C2=A0
Does anyone have a Schaumburg catalog for sale?? Between the 2 reales and t=
he counterfeit gold, it is something I can really use in my current directi=
on. I'll try Stacks and see if they have any extra's lying around I can pur=
    chase too.
    =C2=A0
Anyway...I would like to find the buyer and see a nice large photo of the c=
oin won, and I will exchange photo's of this once I visit my excellent phot=
ographer and great friend, Roger M....if you have never seen the details of=
a great photo (8MB for just the obverse), you really don't realize all tha=
    t you're missing...every little drop of metal...like looking through a micr=
    oscope without the eye strain!!=20
    =C2=A0
The edge is good, and the weight by my scale which always seems to come up =
    a hair high is 6.02 grams.=20
    =C2=A0
If you read the Stacks description, you'll see some of the cause from my ex=
citement at the find, and realize my huge respect for the cataloger's incit=
e, which I know is something I don't think I can ever have like John or tho=
se who are deeply involved with these. My area now is 8 reales, with some t=
ype stuff for the other denominations, and I'm very happy with my meager co=
llection. I know I told Ray I would do something for him with assayers for =
mints and years, but I have decided to back off of that project for a coupl=
e of reasons. 1-It has been done already somewhere, and whoever is interest=
ed can dig it out and use it rather than re-invent the wheel as I did. 2-I =
don't think people really learn from something like this dropped in their l=
ap...they will get much more out of it having to do the leg work, 3-Having =
done the leg work, and this being a still new area as far as the 8 reales, =
I'm just not ready to share with such a small collection, and I
apologize, but that is the truth....in a few months or a year, I will prob=
ably feel different, but right now it's still cheap, and I want to keep it =
that way because I just started collecting these and I don't know where els=
e to turn if I get priced out of these, and I hope everyone understands thi=
    s. I don't want competition yet....maybe when I get back to work I will pos=
t more, but not now....sorry Ray....I have some people waiting for money, a=
nd I really have to take care of them first...I have placed a no buy under =
any circumstance for the next month, and I've had some great offers from fr=
iends I've made overseas with the Spanish counterfeits, but they understand=
my situation... once I'm "Paid in full", I will start buying again...I do =
have a lot of stuff to sell that will easily take care of my current debt, =
but without good pics, I'll lose money, so am waiting until that can be don=
    e. I'm sure that others in the Span-Am group cringed when they read
the post where I said no problem on the assayer request<s>>...it will happ=
en, but not by me now.=20
    =C2=A0
BTW, the edge is good....circles and rectangles or squares.....

Thanks David, Just stopped home for a second and Marc had emailed me to the=
phone that I posted here...was going to be a C4NL blurb after I contacted =
John about this, but the cat outta the bag, I guess not....since it is, the=
last digit until I can get a photo looks like a possible 8, if anyone has =
an obverse match....his description therefore in the schaumburg sale is ver=
y eeriely true...I guess he's seen enough to make that educated assumption =
as the obv matches the rev on my coin as far as punches and what style shou=
ld be...so I'm forwarding this to the sp am group in hopes that JK does see=
this. (If anything important was said, I would have deleted it from the fo=
rward, but it is just a post without comment, so I don't feel cross posting=
should be a problem...unless going the other way from a closed group to op=
en ie) (also why I'm posting the scan a 2nd time)

<TD vAlign=3Dtop>Thanks David, Just stopped home for a second and Marc had =
emailed me to the phone that I posted here...was going to be a C4NL blurb a=
fter I contacted John about this, but the cat outta the bag, I guess not...=
.since it is, the last digit until I can get a photo looks like a possible =
8, if anyone has an obverse match....his description therefore in the schau=
mburg sale is very eeriely true...I guess he's seen enough to make that edu=
cated assumption as the obv matches the rev on my coin as far as punches an=
d what style should be...so I'm forwarding this to the sp am group in hopes=
that JK does see this. (If anything important was said, I would have delet=
ed it from the forward, but it is just a post without comment, so I don't f=
eel cross posting should be a problem...unless going the other way from a c=
losed group to open ie) (also why I'm posting the scan a 2nd time)<BR><BR>-=
