I'm putting together an exhibit for a local coin show in Nov. I can't comp=
ete 'cause I'm exhibits director. But, I always try to enter a "seed" exhi=
bit just to have one more on the tables.
This year, I'm calling mine "In the News" and showing coins from New Englan=
d, New France, New Spain, New Sweeden, etc. In coming up with a list of sta=
tes/coins that MIGHT have had North American colonial relevance, it occured=
to me that I really ought to have at least one Viking coin. (I'll resist t=
he urge to include an ancient Roman "Barry Fell" piece and, please, no Minn=
esota state quarter jokes.) Since I know very little about Viking coins, c=
an anyone suggest a type with a strong Viking association, from about 1000 =
AD, give or take a century, that won't require me to sell off more than one=
kid to pay for?
Thanks for your help,
