Nothing beats a scanner for banknotes....much better than the most expensive camera. Chris Brewchorne from my English Hammered group picked up a new scanner and was playing around scanning modern coins and when he tried to do an English banknote it wouldn't work. I had done it before many times...I used to save and scan any interesting stamps on the dollars I'd receive in the cab. Some Chickens, the where's George in the beginning....political statements etc. No problems. I layed out 5 $20 bills on my scanner, closed the lid and guess what....no good. A message came up that this software does not scan banknotes. Very good and nice for technology, however, I'm sure the real crooks won't be affected, but the little guys who like to pass off bad paper to very tired cab drivers at 330AM will be affected. I like it!!!
