Perhaps, like me, you've wondered about what some things on a Higley copper=
mean. Well, I can't get into Sam Higley's mind. Hey, I can't even get into=
John Higley's mind...
But someone has deciphered some of it for us. I AM good copper? What does=
AM mean? Well, Bill Clinton helped us parse what the meaning of "is" is, b=
ut it takes this ebay seller to tell what the meaning of "am" be:=20=20

P.S. on a more more serious note, in case you don't know, C.H.C. stands for=
Connecticut HIstoric Commission which existed from 1955 to 2003 (when it m=
erged into another state agency). CHC had these copies made to sell as souv=
enirs at Old Newgate Prison, a historic site a mile or so from Sam Higley's=
personal copper mine (using a design that goes back to the 1920s at least =
