    I know this has nothing to do with Colonial coins but it seems to me that a=
    mong the members of this fourm there are experts on just about everything. =
    =20

    I picked up at an estate sale a box of 100 old photographic glass slides. =
    The box is labeled "HAWAII, C. 1917-19" "COL. (NAME OMITED), C. of E., U.S=
    . ARMY. I know next to nothing about photography but I do know these are n=
    ot like the 2x2 slides I'm familiar with. The slides are 3 1/4" x 4" with =
    the image size ranging from about 1 3/4" x 2 1/2" to 2 7/8" x 3 5/8", image=
    s are colorized. Subjects range from buildings, monuments, landscapes, etc=
    . to maps. I've included scans of a couple.=20

    I guess my questions are:=20=20

    1 Does anyone know what they may have been used for? They certainly don=
    't seem to be someone's personal snapshots.

    2 Is there a relatively simple (ie. cheap) way to get a half way decent =
    print from them.

    Thanks
