=A0 =A0 =A0Paging through Robert Friedberg's wonderful and classic Green Bo= ok with its wholesale listing of a New England Shilling for $90.00 (yes, ni= nety dollars), got me curious to see what the Red Book was saying,=20 so I pulled out a Red Book from a few years later -- 1976 --=20 and was surprised to see that its page 14 illustration of a New England Shi= lling was of a much different die variety than any I had seen pictured, and= certainly differs from that in the more recent Red Books. =A0
=A0 =A0 =A0(The legs of the "N" are slimmer and more vertical,=20 and part of the planchet surface silver pokes in with a small delta=20 pushing in between the top bars of the "E" in the earlier illustration). = =A0
=A0 =A0 =A0 Am betting one of the members knows, with which specimen R.S. Y= eoman was illustrating his book in the 1970's? --1255308993-47320439-1330555315=:79340 Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
