Okay, I guess this is confession hour. I had a coin that was plated in on=
e of my articles. The finest known of a very late die state. I was gettin=
g ready to place the entire Family into the depths of the bank vault and co=
uld not find that one coin. I searched and searched. Went through all the=
coins in the vault and then looked everywhere else including in the cracks=
under the cushions of sofas and chairs where I would sit to study coins. =
I spent hours looking. Nothing. It was two years later after I bought ano=
ther but lesser coin of the same variety that I found the coin placed in a =
flip with another coin. Have no idea how that happened but suspect a marti=
ni or two might have played some role. In any case it was a cause for grea=
t celebration for me. Not an overly expensive coin but one I wanted to pre=
serve for future numismatists!! Roger

re the coins!
As a matter of fact, right now I am =E2=80=9Cmissing=E2=80=9D two small anc=
ients. These are small ancient silver coins each about 3 or 4 millimeters =
in diameter. I suspect that I had them in an unmarked envelope which I pul=
led out and placed another coin in without realizing they were in there. S=
o someday I hope to make another pleasing =E2=80=9Cdiscovery=E2=80=9D.

How many of you have misplaced a coin or a coin box? Between bringing=20
coins back n forth from the bank, coin shows, talks to clubs, sharing=20
with friends... I get this knot in my stomach when I can't find=20
something. Well, that happened yesterday when I went to look small box=20
of coins. I thought it was in the house. I tore the house apart to no=20
avail. Then I assumed it was in the safe deposit box. I went to the=20
bank after a long trip to North Jersey, and it wasn't in there!!! I=20
finally found it inside a larger coin box - sort of mis-filed. What a=20
good feeling when something missing shows up again!
