I own a few Connecticut coppers, that I acquired privately approximately 20=
years ago from Eric Newman=E2=80=99s collection. The coins were accompanie=
d with Eric=E2=80=99s handwritten annotated envelopes. The envelopes are re=
ctangular in shape (1 & 3/4=E2=80=9D x 2 & 7/8 =E2=80=9C) and made of brown=
Manila type stock paper with a curved reverse flap. The envelopes show a c=
enter crease from folding for entry into a stock box. Eric=E2=80=99s annota=
tions on the envelopes include handwritten attribution, weigh in grams and =
a % code (20%)....I suspect some kind of cost code.

After seeing a few images of envelopes from Eric Newman coins, I pulled out=
an envelope that came with a Washington Military Bust piece that I had pur=
chased about 10 years ago. It appears to me to be consistent, but I'm hopin=
g someone here can help. I assume other collectors used similar envelopes, =
but the typewritten notes look close to me. There is another envelope, whic=
h contained the coin, folded in half and inserted in the outer envelope . =
