Ray, I highly doubt any of us will have this as "one and done." Might be e= asier with state coinages than other areas, but there is always new info co= ming out, maybe a new reference work, a pedigree traced or whatever, so any= thing written might eventually need to be changed. For my stuff I use the = front of the envelope for date, series, type, variety and rarity info. If = it's from a name collection I put that on the front so well. Plus anything= special about the coin -- die state, error, die axis, planchet size. Weig= ht and diameter aren't major, so I put them on the back of the flip, on the= lower portion, along with cost code and purchase source. I like handwritt= en instead of typed or labels -- it's just that extra personal touch and bi= t of history to pass to future collectors. Who could forget John Griffee's= envelopes with every bit of space used, and his bold signature on them? O= r Mike Ringos distinctive handwriting on a flip?=20
I don't think there should be one definitive style, just put the info that = you want and need on your own stuff, and the next owner can do the same...
