    Hi Guys!,
    =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 I wrote a short article on page 26 of the ANA's De=
    cember issue of=20
    the Numismatist.=C2=A0 It was a fun article for me, and timely as the topic=
    =20
    involves December 1776.=C2=A0 I've received positive feedback from a number=
    =20
    of collectors.=C2=A0 It's that feedback that prompts me to write.=C2=A0
    =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 I can't tell you what a good feeling it is to hear=
    that someone=20
    enjoys and appreciates something you shared in print.=C2=A0 Be it a book,=20
    magazine, newspaper or club journal... the writer spent time to share=20
    his/her knowledge and experience.=C2=A0 I'm always encouraging friends to=20
    write, some friends actually call my encouragement "nagging", LOL!=C2=A0 Bu=
    t=20
    I want to encourage you all to give feed back to writers that you=20
    enjoy.=C2=A0 Let them know that what they wrote was appreciated.=C2=A0 This=
    =20
    feedback may encourage them to write further.
    =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 There are times when you find an error or something you =
    disagree=20
    with...=C2=A0 Let the author know.=C2=A0 Don't contact them and say they're=
    "full=20
    of fertilizer", but be kind.=C2=A0 Let the author know that you enjoyed the=
    =20
    article and the topic, but there is something that you'd like to share=20
    with him.=C2=A0
    =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 I wrote an article for the C4 Newsletter about Bre=
    en's "New Jersey=20
    Hatfield Mint" actually being the Rahway Mint.=C2=A0 I received a number of=
    =20
    compliments, and one correction.=C2=A0 Steve Frank, who resides near Rahway=
    ,=20
    informed me that the name of the road I wrote in the article was wrong.=C2=
    =A0=20
    Steve was correct of course.=C2=A0
    =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 If you read an article in any publication, and don=
    't know how to=20
    contact the author directly, write your feedback and email it to the=20
    editor of the publication and ask him to forward it to the author.=C2=A0 I'=
    ve=20
    done this a number of times with Coin World authors.=C2=A0 YES, there are=20
    many interesting articles that are in publications other than C4N and=20
    CNL.=C2=A0 And there are many good books that weren't published by C4=20
    (Mossman, Nipper, Salmon, Demling, etc...).=C2=A0=C2=A0 I bet even a prolif=
    ic=20
    author like Dave Bowers appreciates every kind word.

    Encourage an author this week.
    Ray
