    Hi Ray

    =C2=A0

'Eboracum' was the Roman name for England's city of York.

    Hi Guys,
    =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 Not being a Latin scholar, I'm
wondering how New York is referred
to on coin and paper money as Nova
Eborac.=C2=A0 Of course Nova is "New" but
    where does Eborac come
    from?
    =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 I own one or two Nova Eboracs.=C2=A0 I
    personally look at them as
affordable New York coppers, as opposed to
    the famous Excelsior
    coinage.=C2=A0
    =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 There's
an idea...=C2=A0 How about a New Year's resolution to move out
    of our
comfort zone of specialty collecting and add one colonial type
    coin to
our collections in 2016?=C2=A0 I've been having a lot of fun in
    colonial
coins and paper, outside of my NJ Copper specializing,=C2=A0over the

past few years.=C2=A0 It's been so much fun!!!
    Ray
