Craig beat me to it!!! But really Bill, unless you are actually planning
on taking your coppers to the beach, and enjoying a dip in the ocean with
them, you really don't have to worry. Remember a lot of these things were
made in states on the eastern seaboard and circulated there for quite some
time - and were in collections there for a century or more without cotton
flips, Xylol or Care. They survived just fine and will continue to do so
with minimal care. If you do Xylol them and get some Care or Blue Ribbon
(ask one of the EAC folk, someone might stock it still), and get them into
envelopes you are set.
