Abidi Público Deposited
A name given to the half Rupee of Mysore by Tipu Sultan, in 1786, when he adopted his new system of reckoning, based on the Muludi, i.e., dating from the birth of the Prophet. The coin is so called after the fourth Imam, Zainul-abidin, or Abid Bimar.
