Definition
  • The name given to a series of Thaler struck in Sachsen- Weimar circa 1605-1620, with eight busts of the princes, four on each side. They were all sons of Duke Johann Ernst. Conf. Madai (1478, 1479), who cites a variety with all the eight portraits on one side.
