Definizione
  • A name given to the copper five-cash piece of Mysore, by Tipu Sultan, in 1792, after the adoption of his new system of reckoning. This system was be- gun in 1786, and was based on the Muludi, i.e. dating from the birth of the Prophet. The name is the Arabic designation of the word " Star."
