定義
  • A silver coin of Florence struck early in the sixteenth century and adopted by Alessandro Medici (1533-1536), the first Duke. It has a figure of St. John the Baptist on one side and a lily on the re- verse. The original value was twelve Sols and six Deniers. It was copied in the Duchy of Urbino.

The name is said to have been bestowed on this coin because its value represented the duty or tax on a barrel of wine.
