Becs 上市 Deposited
A small Venetian silver coin in- troduced about the period of the Doge Andrea Gritti (1523-1538), and continued until the beginning of the seventeenth cen- tury. The type usually represents a flori- ated cross on one side and the lion of St. Mark on the other.
The name is supposed to be derived from the Illyrian word becs, meaning a small piece of money.
