Bianchetto Publique Deposited
A billon coin of Casale in the Marquisate of Monteferrato, of the value of one twelfth of a Grosso. It was introduced by Teodoro II, Palaeologo (1381-1418), and continued in use for about a century. See Maglia. The type was imitated at many mints in Savoy and Piedmont.
