Bigati Öffentlichkeit Deposited
A name given to certain issues of the Roman Denarius on account of the figures of Diana, Victory, etc., in a biga (i.e., a two-horse chariot) which appear on the reverse. They are referred to by Pliny, Historia Nat . (lxxxiii. c. 12). See Quadrigati.
