Blank 上市 Deposited
- Blank. A metal disk (or other shape) made for striking into a medal or coin; an unstruck planchet or flan. Blanks are made from strip stock by cutting out the proper diameter disks (or a rough approximation of the shape of the item to become an UNUSUAL SHAPE). Blanks usually have a small burr on one side. The next step for round blanks is to remove the burr, make the disk perfectly round, and to thicken the edge somewhat. This is done by upsetting. Collectors call the blank before it is upset a Type I, and a Type II after it is upset. See blanking. CLASS 06.2 0730-(003)04.4
