  • A leaden token issued at Frank- fort a. M. as early as 1497 and in use until the beginning of the seventeenth century.

    Joseph and Fellner, in their work on the coinage of that city (1896, pp. 39-40), state that the Boleton, or Blyen (i.e., Blei-lead) were of two sizes: the larger were re- deemed for twelve Heller and the smaller for six Heller.
