Brandthaler Public Deposited
The name given to a Po- lish Thaler, issued at Thorn, in 1629, to commemorate the gallant defence of that city against the Swedes under General Wrangel. There are a number of minor varieties, all exhibiting a view of the city in flames, and the inscription FIDES ET CON- STANTIA PER IGNEM PROBATA.
