Bremsenthaler Publique Deposited
A name given to a Tha- ler of Lubeck, struck in 1537, so called be- cause a fly (Bremse) appears in the field on the obverse. The " Bremse " was the coat of arms of Nicholas von Brombsen, the Burgomaster.
