  • A name given to the silver Ecu of eighty Sols issued by Louis XIV in 1686 for Flanders. The reverse has a crowned shield with the quartered arms of France and Burgundy. There were also struck divisions consisting of halves, quar- ters, eighths, and sixteenths.
