Cavallotto Publique Deposited
A silver coin which, like the Cavallo, derives its name from the figure of the horse on the reverse.
It was struck for Asti by Louis XII of France early in the sixteenth century; at Carmagnola under Michele Antonio (1504- 1528); at Correggio by Camillo and Fab- rizio (1580-1597); at Sabbioneta by Ves pasiano Gonzaga (1559-1591); etc.
