Ecu a la Couronne Öffentlichkeit Deposited
Also called Couronnelle. A large French gold coin first issued by Charles VII (1422-1461). It obtains its name from the crowned shield, the principal design on the obverse. It was struck at Paris, Rouen, and Tournay.
