Ecu du Dauphine Pubblico Deposited
A gold coin issued by Francis I of France (1515-1547) for Dauphiny, and struck at Grenoble, Cremieu, etc. It differs from the Ecu au Soleil in having the quartered arms of France-Dauphiny on the obverse.
