Good Fors Pubblico Deposited
The name given to a paper currency circulated at the Cape of Good Hope by private individuals "to the great prejudice of trade and public credit." They were prohibited in 1822. See Chalmers, History of Currency in the British Colonies. 1893. (p. 233).
