Gouden Torens Public Deposited
A silver coin of Louvain, of the value of half a Groot, struck by Wenceslaus and Johanna (1355-1405).
A gold coin, known as the Gouden Torens, was issued by Johanna pursuant to an ordinance of August 15, 1393. See Chijs, van der, Les monnaies des Pays-Bas. 1851-66. (pp. 95, 107, 109, 111).
The name of these coins appears to be derived from the doorways on the building figured on the reverse.
