  • A Papal silver coin, which under the name of Grosso Largo was introduced in the thirteenth century, and received its more common designation form Pope Julius II (1503-1513). In a tract entitled A Mittimus to the Jubilee at Rome, 1625, it is said to be worth eight Soldi.

    It was coped at Guastalla under Cesare Gonzaga (1570-1575); at Avignon under Gregory XIII and his successors; at Camerino, Mantua, etc.
