Hanover Sovereign Public Deposited

Definition
  • A name given to a brass medalet, dated 1837, with a galloping rider on the reverse, and the inscription TO HANOVER above. The mounted figure is intended for the Duke of Cumberland, who was very unpopular in England, and the motto signifies that his return to Hanover would be desirable.
