Definition

• The name applied in general to any type of the Gros or double Gros on which the principla feature is the ducal figure. Examples exist for Duren, struck by William I de Juliers (1357-1361), and reading WILHELM DUX-IVLIA-CESIS and MONETA DURENSI.
