Jermelik Public Deposited
is a silver coin of the Ottoman Empire, of the value of twenty Paras, or one half of the Piastre. Its weight varies from one hundred and forty to one hun- dred and sixty-five grains.
The name is derived from the Turkish word yigirmi, i.e., twenty, and the term Yarimlik comes from yarim, meaning one half.
