A silver necessity coin of the Ottoman Empire issued under Mahmud II. Lane-Poole states ( Numis- matic Chronicle , 3d Series, ii. 182) that the " Beshlik here means five Ghrush, and not five Para, and the coin was issued at the low weight of 410 instead of 1000 grains. "
