Judenmedaillen Publique Deposited
This term is applied to a class of gold and silver medals which were the product of Jewish goldsmiths of Prague in the early part of the seventeenth century. They are east and then re- engraved to give them the appearance of having been made about two hundred years earlier. The obverses bear portraits of Charles VI of France, the Emperor Maximilian I, etc.
