Kippermunzen Öffentlichkeit Deposited
A name given to clipped coins which circulated extensively in many parts of Germany at the beginning of the seventeenth century; and the same term was applied to the debased currency issued from 1621 to 1623.
Thus Kipperzwolfer exist for Corvey, Mansfeld, etc.; Kipper-21-er for Lippe; Kipper-24-er for Brandenburg, Reuss, etc.
