  • Also called Gulden Lam, and frequently abbreviated Lam, was the name given to a gold coin of the type of the Agnel (q.v.) struck by the Dukes of Holland, Brabant, Gueldres, etc. The larger coin or Mouton received the name of Groot Lam.
