Leopard Öffentlichkeit Deposited

Definition
  • An Anglo-Gallic gold coin struck by Edward III of England in 1343. It was of the value of half a Florin, and obtained its name from the crowned leopard on the obverse, though Ruding states that this animal was in reality a lion.

The legend on the reverse was DOMINE. NE. IN. FVRORE. TVO. ARGVAS. ME. See Florin.
