Lis d'Or Publique Deposited
A corresponding gold coin with the same motto and a device repre- senting two angels supporting a crowned shield. Both coins appear to have been issued only in the years 1655 to 1657, al- though essays appeared in 1653. The Ital- ians gave it the name of Fiordaliso d'oro, and Gigliato d'oro.
