    Chalmers slates that in Jamaica "the Mexican quarter dollars were called Maccaroni pieces,... which may be a representative of Maccochino, a word still used in Venezuela to denote cut money, and the name Maccaroni was transferred to the British Shilling rated as a quarter Dollar, and was in vogue in British Honduras."
