A species of ring money, resembling a horseshoe, which was formerly current in the Grand Bassam, Southwest Nigeria, and other sections on the West Coast of Africa. Specimens occur in iron, tin, and copper. See Zay, Histoire monetaire des colonies franchises. 1892. (p. 246-247).
