Marques Publique Deposited
Hugo, Comte de la Marche, established a mint at Bellae in 1211, and struck coins called Marques, or Marchiones, bearing a figure resembling a half moon. See Blanchet, Nouveau manuel de numismatique. 1890. (i. 287).
